Our Marketing Department supports the Group’s various brands and facilities through the development and production of a wide range of marketing and branded materials. From promotional campaigns and signage to posters, information packs, event collateral and internal communications, the team works across the business to ensure materials are produced professionally, accurately and consistently.
We are looking for a practical, organised and detail-oriented Marketing Print & Production Assistant to join our Marketing team, based at our Claremont offices. This is a hands-on role that will support the practical production, finishing, organisation and distribution of marketing materials, while also assisting with stock management, sourcing, suppliers and production administration.
Working closely with Designers, Brand Managers and the Marketing Operations Manager, the successful candidate will help turn approved artwork into accurately produced and professionally finished materials. You will play an important role in ensuring that print requests are completed on time, materials and equipment are used efficiently, stock is properly controlled, and completed items are prepared and distributed to the correct brands and facilities.
This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is highly organised and takes pride in producing neat and accurate results. Previous exposure to a print, production or stock environment would be advantageous; however, we will also consider candidates entering the workplace who demonstrate strong practical ability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Printing and Production
- Print approved marketing materials according to the required size, quantity, paper type and deadline.
- Cut, trim, laminate, fold, collate, bind and assemble marketing materials as required.
- Produce materials including flyers, notices, posters, information packs, signage and event collateral.
- Produce initial samples for checking before completing larger print batches.
- Check completed materials for print quality, alignment, accurate cutting, clean finishing and correct quantities.
- Pack and clearly label completed materials according to brand, facility, destination and purpose.
- Operate printing and finishing equipment safely and in accordance with training provided.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient production area.
- Report equipment faults or production issues promptly with external suppliers.
- Minimise unnecessary material wastage, printing errors and avoidable reprints.
Materials Sourcing and Supplier Support
- Assist with sourcing and ordering printing supplies, branded items, packaging and other marketing materials.
- Request quotations from suppliers and compile relevant information for comparison, including specifications, quantities, costs, lead times and delivery requirements.
- Submit quotations and purchase requests for required approval before placing orders.
- Follow up on approved orders, supplier samples and expected delivery dates.
- Check delivered goods against orders and report shortages, damaged goods or incorrect items.
- Maintain organised records of suppliers, quotations and orders.
Stock and Distribution
- Maintain accurate stock records for paper, laminating supplies, printed collateral, promotional items and other marketing materials.
- Monitor stock usage and identify replenishment requirements before supplies run low.
- Keep marketing materials and stock organised and easily accessible.
- Coordinate collections, couriers and internal distribution of marketing materials.
- Prepare materials and gifting for events, activations and other marketing initiatives.
- Record marketing items issued and returned where required.
- Identify outdated, damaged or no longer required collateral and refer it for review before disposal.
Production Administration and Marketing Support
- Receive approved artwork and production instructions from the relevant Designer or Marketing team member.
- Confirm specifications, quantities, deadlines and delivery requirements before commencing production.
- Refer required artwork changes or print-quality concerns back to the Designer before proceeding.
- Maintain accurate production task updates using the department’s agreed tracking systems, including Monday.com.
- Record completed jobs, quantities produced, and any wastage or reprints.
- Capture evidence of completed work, such as photographs or delivery confirmation, where required.
- Flag conflicting deadlines, missing information, stock shortages or supplier delays to the Marketing Operations Manager promptly.
- Work closely with Designers and other Marketing team members to ensure production requirements and deadlines are met.
- Provide general practical and administrative support to the Marketing Department as required.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy, including email, PDF files and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Good numerical ability for working with quantities, measurements, stock counts and supplier quotations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain a neat and consistent standard of work.
- Ability to follow written instructions and production specifications accurately.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work according to agreed deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and reliable follow-through.
- Willingness to perform hands-on and repetitive production tasks.
- Willingness and ability to learn the safe operation of printing and finishing equipment.
Advantageous:
- Approximately 6–12 months' experience within a print or copy shop, stationery business, production environment, stock administration or office support role.
- Previous exposure to printers, laminators, paper cutters, binding equipment or similar production equipment.
- Experience obtaining supplier quotations and following up on orders.
- Experience maintaining stock or inventory records.
- Basic understanding of common paper sizes, paper types and print settings.
- Experience using task-management systems such as Monday.com.
Relevant practical ability and a willingness to learn will also be considered for candidates entering the workplace. A degree, design portfolio or Adobe proficiency is not required for this position.

Working Hours: Normal working days are Monday to Friday, from 08h00 to 17h00. A flexi-time option is available, allowing employees to structure their working hours between 06h30 and 18h30, subject to operational requirements.
