Your Role at impact.com

The Marketing Enablement Engineer is the technical builder behind the AI and tooling infrastructure that powers the Marketing Enablement & AI team and the broader marketing department. This person designs, builds, and maintains internal applications and AI-driven workflows from department-facing tools like the Marketing Hub to creative/prompt-engineering systems used across teams and train the trainer guides.

Your day-to-day will involve developing cutting-edge technology that addresses diverse business requirements, enhances departmental productivity, and converts manual processes into streamlined automated workflows. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, creating solutions that deliver measurable results. We're looking for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with a genuine passion for Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI Automations.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain the Marketing Hub application that integrates with internal applications supporting the Marketing department.
  • Maintain and extend the technical backbone of shared department tools, including contributing to Marketing Hub build-out and other systems currently backlogged.
  • Build and deploy agentic AI solutions that enable autonomous task completion across business functions and transform manual workflows into efficient automated processes
  • Develop scalable orchestration frameworks for AI agents to handle complex business processes and reusable AI libraries and SDKs that empower the marketing enablement team
  • Build and maintain AI-powered knowledge graphs to improve information discovery and utilisation
  • Create comprehensive LLM evaluation frameworks to ensure quality, accuracy, and performance
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate third-party AI tools and SaaS solutions into the marketing stack
  • Implement workflow automations (prompt-engineered tools, LLM-backed features, internal AI utilities)
  • Write clear documentation for every build, both technical documentation and creative/prompt-engineering guides that non-engineers on the team can follow
  • Translate complex technical and AI concepts into simple, actionable terms for enablement teams to train stakeholders and manage adoption of new tools and systems.
  • Partner closely with the enablement team and CMO to scope, prioritize, and deliver technical requirements that surface from intake and cross-team requests.
What You Bring
  • Experience in software engineering, engineer prompt management systems and versioning tools for consistent AI interactions.
  • Proficiency (must-have) in: Python, Node.js, VS Code, GitHub, Google Apps Script, and prompt engineering
  • Ability to create and optimize RAG systems that make company knowledge instantly accessible
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining production applications, not just prototypes
  • Develop AI-powered analytics pipelines that transform unstructured data into actionable insights
  • Implement conversational AI interfaces that streamline internal support and enhance productivity
  • Stay current with advancements in GenAI, vector databases, and embeddings technologies
  • Strong written communication, able to document technical work for a non-technical audience
  • Thrive in a cross-functional, globally distributed team environment.
What makes you a fit
  • You can explain a complex technical or AI concept in simple terms to someone with zero engineering background
  • You default to documenting your work as you build, not after
  • You're energized by complex technical builds embedded in a marketing organization, you like translating business/creative needs into working systems
  • You collaborate well with non-engineers and treat enablement (helping others use what you build) as part of the job, not an afterthought
