Santam Specialist Solutions in Johannesburg seeks a Marketing Assistant in the Construction and Engineering (SCE) area, based at Wanderers Office Park. You will provide end-to-end service and support to brokers, handling sales, business development and technical underwriting at the new business stage.

Formación

• Matric/ Grade 12.
• Post Graduate B. Comm, Engineering or Insurance Qualification.
• RE 5.
• Proven sales experience in commercial insurance industry.
• Engineering underwriting experience will be an advantage.
• Broker relationship management, business development, portfolio management and technical underwriting at new business stage.

Responsabilidades

• Servicing broker requests, including enquiries.
• Technical underwriting at new business stage.
• Providing telephonic/email support to the intermediary on record, authorised representatives from the brokerage, and broker services.
• Dealing with general insurance and policy specific enquiries.
• Quoting on instruction / policy maintenance / renewal and engineering aspects of policies.
• Assisting to resolve all insurance queries within required timeframe and compliance requirements.
• Undertaking client follow-ups when policies are cancelled to ascertain the reasons and attempt to retain the policy onto books.
• Managing client expectations on expected turnaround times for submitted requests.
• Adhering to underwriting criteria and regional requirements.
• Assisting in implementing solutions for improvement; and
• Standing in for Marketers should they be absent or on leave during busy periods or absence of key resources, assisting where required.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The primary purpose of the insurance marketing assistant role is to focus on providing an end-to-end service and support to brokers. Main functions include Sales, Business Development and Technical Underwriting at new business stage.
