Job summary

DO MORE Placements represents an established Durbanville-based group seeking a sharp, commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team within a hands-on wood and furniture manufacturing environment.

You will own management accounts for the manufacturing division, develop BOMs, cost structures, budgeting processes, and provide financial insight to support operational leadership as the business scales.

Qualifications

• CIMA-qualified ACMA, CGMA or nearing completion.
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong exposure to cost accounting, BOMs, product costing, budgeting and forecasting, inventory and stock controls.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of management accounts for the manufacturing division.
• Development and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product cost structures.
• Product costing, variance analysis and margin analysis across production lines.
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts and rolling financial projections.
• Monitoring production costs, raw material usage and labour efficiencies.
• Providing commercial insights to operations and production management.
• Supporting inventory management and stock valuation processes.
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting and working capital optimisation.
• Establishing financial controls and reporting frameworks for the manufacturing unit.
• Working closely with leadership to support strategic decision making as the manufacturing business scales.
