Job summary

Talent Evolution (Pty) Ltd is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, including Debtors and Creditors, and ensure accurate financial records. The role will supervise finance staff, coordinate with external auditors and support month-end close and statutory reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a BCom in Accounting/Finance with at least 10 years in manufacturing accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with Sage Pastel Evolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' relevant accounting experience in a medium-to-large manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience overseeing Debtors and Creditors functions.
• Strong experience with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts and managing month-end processes.
• Proficiency with Sage Pastel Evolution or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Debtors and Creditors.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reconcile balance sheets.
• Coordinate with Financial Manager and external auditors.
• Maintain internal controls and regulatory compliance.
