Job summary

Gold One Group Limited is seeking an experienced operator for trackless mining environments to work on a Manitou and support maintenance tasks during shifts. You will operate equipment, monitor conditions, and follow strict safety procedures to ensure safe production and compliance with MHSA standards.

The ideal candidate has a Code 08/10 license, 1–3 years of trackless mining experience, and English plus at least one additional SA language.

Qualifications

Must have Grade 10–12 or equivalent NQF qualifications.
Must hold Code 08/10 driver’s license.
MQA Competency B Certificate with relevant qualifications and licenses.
Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a trackless mining environment.

Responsibilities

Work a cycle or rotation of shifts.
Operate the Manitou.
Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fuel, oil, lubrication).
Be observant when operating the Manitou carrying/transporting equipment and during pipe installation.
Verify level of the machine using specified levels.
Report faults and inconsistencies to Supervisor and Control Room.
Take instructions from the Supervisor responsible for the area.
Maintain area in accordance with mine standards and procedures.
