Job summary

International SOS in Johannesburg is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Medical Officer (Locum) to provide primary and emergency healthcare to employees at the onsite clinic.

You will deliver high-quality patient care, manage emergencies, support health initiatives, oversee clinical governance, and collaborate with the international medical network to ensure compliance with best practices.

Fluency in Mandarin and English is required, along with MBChB, HPCSA registration, and ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• MBChB qualification and HPCSA registration required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in General Practice and/or Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and emergency medical care.
• Deliver advanced life support and emergency response.
• Coordinate medical evacuation and referrals.

• Oversee clinical governance, QA, and infection control.
