Requirements :

• Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Practitioner. Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. No experience required after registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner The following will serve as an added advantage: BLS/ ACLS/ PALS/ ALTS / DipPEC/ DCH Ultrasound courses or equivalent. Knowledge and Skills: Experience in medical emergencies. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work under pressure

Duties :

• Evaluation and clinical management of patients referred to the Emergency Department. Perform Commuted Overtime. Clinical training and teaching of undergraduate students. Attending and presenting at academic meetings. Encourage good working relationship between colleagues and departments, Availability for ongoing assessment. Signing annual performance agreements and availability for quarterly reviews. Relevant administration as required including for medico-legal purposes.
