Job summary

City of Cape Town invites applications for an Urban Mobility Transport Infrastructure Design leadership role. The position requires extensive senior management experience, a relevant three-year tertiary qualification (preferably a B Degree) and a valid Code B driver’s licence.

The post focuses on aligning directorate strategies with city priorities, governance and risk management, and reporting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Align directorate strategies, programmes and projects with National, Provincial and City priorities; support strategic planning, IDP inputs, policy application and executive reporting.
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools, track programme and project performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and coordinate quarterly and annual reporting.
• Lead and coordinate administrative and support services across the directorate, ensuring integrated systems, standards and service delivery support.
• Review program budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget resolution process.
• Drive information management systems, research, benchmarking initiatives and management information reporting to support decision-making.
• Coordinate business planning, SDBIP processes and organisational performance management to support delivery against strategic objectives.
• Lead, develop and manage staff performance, training, productivity and compliance with policies, procedures and service level agreements
