Job summary

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Power Plant Process Control Operations (NQF 5) with 241 credits.
• 5+ years related experience including 2 years as Unit Controller post qualification and 1 year in a supervisory/senior controller role.
• Knowledge of commissioning, de-commissioning and recommissioning of major power plant components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Commission, de-commission, and re-commission power plant components.
• Oversee practical training and authorisation of Eskom staff.
• Manage section's human resources and finances.
• Set direction and implement long- and short-term objectives for the section.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment and fire requirements.
• Oversee operating technical specifications.
