Job summary

Indwe Risk Services (Pty) Ltd, a Durban-based leader in commercial insurance, seeks a Business Insurance Manager to lead a commercial team focused on retaining and growing profitable clients and acquiring new business. You will drive strategy, mentor staff, and ensure high service standards within a dynamic brokerage setting, leveraging deep industry knowledge and regulatory awareness.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in short-term commercial insurance within a brokerage, with RE5 and Higher

Qualifications

• Matric, Level 4 FETC Short Term Insurance Qualification, RE5 exam, Higher Certificate in Insurance are required.
• 7–10 years of short-term commercial insurance sales and service experience.
• Diploma in Business/Risk Management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a commercial team focused on retaining and growing profitable clients and acquiring new profitable commercial business.

Education Minimum:

• Matric
• Level 4 FETC Short Term Insurance Qualification
• Passed exam RE: Representatives
• Higher Certificate in Insurance

Experience Minimum:

• 7 - 10 Years

Ideal Education:

• Matric
• Level 4 FETC Short Term Insurance Qualification
• Advantage: Higher Certificate in Insurance (NQF5)
• Passed exam RE: Representatives - RE5
• Diploma in Business/Risk Management an advantage

Ideal Experience:

• 7- 10 years’ short-term commercial insurance sales and service experience in a brokerage
• Corporate experience is an advantage
• 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity (Proven Track record)
