Job summary

MAHLE GmbH in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure high-performance maintenance for our plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will attend breakdowns, support preventative maintenance, participate in installations, and assist with environmental and safety tasks.

You will also maintain plant facilities, complete SAP records, and work rotating shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Trade tested Millwright or electrician with mechanical experience.
• Post trade-test Industrial experience an advantage.
• Environmental awareness.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and restore equipment quickly.
• Participate in Preventative Maintenance System activities.
• Contribute to projects for new machine installations or building changes.
• Engage in Environmental, Health & Safety activities.
• Maintain plant facilities and housekeeping to standard.
• Complete records in SAP.
• Work rotational shifts and overtime as required.

Your Contribution

As a Maintenance Technician. reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high performance maintenance within our Plant

• Attendance of breakdowns.
• Actively participation in the Preventative Maintenance System
• Project participation in new machine installations and building changes.
• Participation in Environmental, Health & Safety activities
• Upkeep of Plant Facilities
• Completion of records in SAP.
• Rotational shift work and overtime.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Trade tested Millwright or electrician with mechanical experience.
• Post trade-test Industrial experience an advantage
• Environmental awareness
• Meet targets according to budget, laws & environmental guidelines
• Adoption of Best Practices - MBPS
