Job summary

MAHLE Durban is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will deliver high-performance maintenance within our plant, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include breakdown attendance, preventive maintenance participation, and involvement in new machine installations and plant changes.

The role requires a trade-tested Millwright or electrician with mechanical experience, plus environmental awareness and MBPS practices.

Qualifications

• Trade tested Millwright or electrician with mechanical experience.
• Post trade-test industrial experience is an advantage.
• Environmental awareness and compliance with budget, laws and MBPS.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and restore machinery promptly.
• Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance System.
• Contribute to new machine installations and building changes.
• Support Environmental, Health & Safety activities.
• Uptake/maintain Plant Facilities.
• Complete records in SAP accurately.
• Work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
