Job summary

BMW Group SA is seeking a Painted Body Maintenance Planner to anticipate and eliminate delays in production by planning and coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner reports to the Painted Body Maintenance Planning Manager and oversees all planned maintenance at the site.

You will create and maintain Preventative Maintenance plans, BOMs, part numbers and standard work in SAP.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or BEng.
• At least 2 years in manufacturing, maintenance, or planning.
• Experience with SAP (STARD) for Planned Maintenance.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
• RCA training is preferred for problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all planned maintenance activities at the site.
• Coordinate maintenance resources, parts, materials and equipment access.
• Create and maintain Preventative Maintenance plans, BOMs, and standard work in SAP.
• Prepare reports and analyse data to improve plant operations.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning, scheduling and reporting systems.

Job description

The Painted Body Maintenance Planner’s job is to anticipate and eliminate potential delays in production by planning, coordinating maintenance resources, parts, materials and equipment access.The Maintenance Planner reports to the Painted Body Maintenance Planning Manager. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities performed at the site.

What awaits you?

• Responsible for topics like Test Equipment Management, Load testing, equipment cleaning and legal compliance topics in both Body shop and Paint shop.
• Responsible for contract management and maintenance cost steering .
• Create and maintain Preventative Maintenance plans, BOMs, part numbers, standard work routines, task lists etc. in SAP.
• Prepare reports, analyse data, make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems.
• Continually improving and optimizing planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency.
• Planning and execution of Major Repair, Maintenance and Invest projects.

What should you bring along?

• National Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) or Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
• The equivalent of 2 years of professional experience in a manufacturing role or maintenance technician role or maintenance planning role.
• Processing experience in SAP (STARD) – Planned Maintenance and Processing.
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and legal standards linked to manufacturing technology.
• Problem solving skills (RCA training is preferred).
