Job summary

Job description

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineering Manager to take responsibility for the maintenance, optimisation, and continuous improvement of critical equipment and processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading technical teams, resolving complex engineering challenges, and driving reliability across manufacturing operations.

This position requires a strong blend of mechanical, electrical, and automation expertise, with particular emphasis on compressor systems, PLC programming, fault finding, and people management.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline advantageous
• Qualified Electromechanical Technician or Engineer

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with compressor systems
• Minimum 5 years' management experience leading technical teams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience diagnosing and resolving compressor-related faults
• PLC programming experience
• Software programming experience
• Experience with automation and control systems
• Knowledge of Delta software, including WPLSoft 2.5 and DOPSoft 4.00 series advantageous
• Strong analytical abilities and experience using gas analysers, measurement, monitoring, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to drive maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational efficiencies
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
