Job summary

BKB Ltd seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor to provide efficient maintenance support across production lines, manage breakdowns and changeovers, ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will lead subordinates and external contractors, implement preventative maintenance, uphold food safety and health and safety standards, and drive productivity savings while drafting the critical spares list and coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science preferred.
• Qualified Fitter/Boilermaker
• 3-5 years FMCG experience, milling industry preferred
• Good understanding of PLCs
• Exposure to food safety audits

The incumbent would provide an efficient maintenance support service through the successful implementation, managing and carrying out of breakdowns, changeovers, control and direct the activities of subordinates and external contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of all machines and services for production. This involves implementing, managing and carrying out: breakdowns, changeovers, preventative maintenance, safety requirements, product development initiatives, and budget control and productivity savings initiatives. Also to draft and maintain the critical spares list. Required minimum education/Training and Work Experience:

• Grade 12, preferably with Maths and Science
• Qualified Fitter/Boiler Maker
• At least 3-5 years hands‑on experience in a FMCG environment, preferably from milling industry.
• Good understanding of PLC’s
• Exposure to food safety audits

• Good understanding of LRA, OHS Act and Food Safety
