The ideal candidate will be a qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner with 3-5 years post-trade experience in a fast-paced production environment; own transport is essential and rotating shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner (Trade Test / Red Seal).
• 3-5 years post-trade maintenance experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience in food packaging or FMCG manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Inspect machinery, equipment and facility infrastructure to identify maintenance requirements.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
• Install, fit, assemble and repair mechanical components and systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication work where required.
• Troubleshoot equipment and optimise performance.
• Assist with maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain drawings for electrical and mechanical spare components.
• Participate in planned maintenance schedules and emergency call-outs.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll become part ofa skilled maintenance team responsible for preventative maintenance, rapidfault-finding and quality repairs to ensure production continues safely andefficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner (Trade Test / Red Seal).

• Previousexperience in the food packaging or FMCG manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
  
• Ownreliable transport is essential.
  
• Mustbe willing to work a rotating shift system (day and night shifts) and participate in a standby roster.
