An established manufacturer within the food packagingindustry is expanding its maintenance team and is seeking experienced MaintenanceArtisans to support its growing operations. This opportunity is ideal forqualified Millwrights or Fitters & Turners who thrive in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in ensuring equipmentreliability and maximum plant uptime.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll become part ofa skilled maintenance team responsible for preventative maintenance, rapidfault-finding and quality repairs to ensure production continues safely andefficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Performplanned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machineryand equipment.
- Diagnoseand repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise productiondowntime.
- Respondpromptly to equipment breakdowns to ensure production targets areachieved.
- Inspectmachinery, equipment and facility infrastructure to identify maintenancerequirements.
- Carryout scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Install,fit, assemble and repair mechanical components and systems.
- Performwelding and fabrication work where required.
- Troubleshootequipment and make adjustments to optimise performance.
- Assistwith maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvementinitiatives.
- Prepareand maintain drawings for electrical and mechanical spare components.
- Participatein planned maintenance schedules and emergency call-outs.
- Workclosely with production teams to maximise equipment availability.
Requirements
- Qualified Millwright or Fitter & Turner (Trade Test / Red Seal).
- Minimumof 3-5 years' post-trade maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previousexperience in the food packaging or FMCG manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
- Ownreliable transport is essential.
- Mustbe willing to work a rotating shift system (day and night shifts) and participate in a standby roster.

- Experiencewith hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Abilityto read technical drawings and carry out repairs to a high standard.
- Confidentusing maintenance tools and workshop equipment.
- Highattention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Additional competencies for Millwrights:
- Soundelectrical fault-finding and troubleshooting experience.
- Workingknowledge of PLCs, VSDs and industrial control systems.
- Experiencemaintaining both electrical and mechanical production equipment.
