Job summary

Festive, part of the Astral Group, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of specialised slaughtering and processing lines. The role focuses on minimising downtime and improving plant performance.

The ideal candidate will have a technical qualification in electrical engineering with a Certificate of Competency for Factories, and be prepared to work overtime and weekends. Poultry/FMCG experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

Technical tertiary qualification in electrical field with a Certificate of Competency for Factories.
Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Experience in Poultry/FMCG plants is advantageous.
Knowledge of the 20 Keys Program is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Continuously optimize and analyse the processing plant's preventative maintenance.
Assist with preventative scheduling, task lists, reports and analyses to optimise the plant.
Optimize stock control of all engineering parts.
Contract management, planning, control and implementation of capital projects.
Assist in compiling the annual maintenance budget and control.
Implement & maintain sustainable projects to improve plant running costs per unit.
Interact daily with various departmental and inter-group stakeholders at management level.
