Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical and production equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, PLCs, sensors and manufacturing lines to minimise production downtime
- Conduct thermal inspections, electrical repairs and installations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Drive plant improvements, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, downtime reduction and monitoring of electrical usage
- Lead and support the maintenance team, manage spare parts and maintenance resources, and assist with budgets, CAPEX and equipment replacement planning
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Electrician with a recognised trade-test certificate
- Matric or equivalent, with an N3/N4 or higher electrical qualification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of SANS 10142, electrical safety, machine isolation and lockout / tagout procedures, with a sound understanding of the OHS Act
- Practical experience with PLC troubleshooting, electrical fault-finding and basic mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic systems, with strong problem-solving and leadership skills
