Job summary

CBRE Excellerate is seeking a Handy Man Assistant in Graaff Reinet to support the Handy Man in delivering general maintenance across client sites. Tasks include carpentry, painting, tiling, and basic repairs, with reporting via smartphone apps.

Requirements include Grade 12 and 1–2 years’ experience in maintenance. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites are preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years experience in general building or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, painting, tiling, plumbing and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Handy Man with general maintenance and repairs across client sites.
• Support carpentry, painting, ceiling repairs, dry walling, masonry, plumbing and tiling tasks.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for site tasks.
• Assist in inspections, identify issues, and provide accurate reports.
• Complete daily admin tasks using digital job cards and mobile reporting.
• Support site call-outs promptly and assist with ad-hoc repairs or planned maintenance.
• Provide feedback to the Handy Man and Operations Manager while following safety procedures.
