Job summary

Incanda Furniture a division of Wheco Group is seeking a dedicated machine operator in our Woodwork Department to prepare solid timber furniture for the next production stage. You will handle small woodwork machines and hand tools, ensuring quality and safety in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate small woodwork machines eg. Stand drill, Rip saw, Thickness planer.
  • Use small hand tools safely and correctly during preparation processes.
  • Prepare furniture pieces according to production and quality requirements.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects and areas requiring attention.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety in the work area.
  • Follow line manager and production team instructions.
  • Report quality concerns, unsafe conditions or tool issues.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the line manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate small woodwork machines eg. Stand drill, Rip saw, Thickness planer
  • Use small hand tools safely and correctly during preparation processes
  • Prepare furniture pieces according to production and quality requirements
  • Inspect workpieces for defects, gaps, cracks, or areas requiring attention
  • Ensure preparation work is completed neatly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle timber furniture and materials carefully to avoid damage
  • Follow instructions from the line manager and production team
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness within the work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Report quality concerns, unsafe conditions, or tool issues to the supervisor
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by the line manager
