Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role: you will create production systems on top of AI models rather than train them.

You will build agentic workflows using LangChain or LangGraph, integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and connect tools across WordPress, Google Workspace and other internal systems. You’ll collaborate asynchronously with a US-based team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.

Responsibilities

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
