Job summary

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Sous Chef, preferably within a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment.
Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef with the daily kitchen operation and overall food production.
Prepare and present high-quality dishes to luxury lodge standards.
Ensure consistency, quality and attention to detail across all meals and services.
Supervise and support the kitchen team during daily operations.
Assist with menu planning, stock control and ordering.
Maintain excellent hygiene, food safety and kitchen standards.
Monitor portion control, food costs and minimise wastage.
Train; mentor and motivate junior kitchen staff.
Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Step into the Executive Chef's responsibilities when required.
Contribute creative ideas to menus and special guest dining experiences.
