Placements24 is seeking an Executive Catering Manager for a premier event management and catering service provider in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The role leads culinary and service operations on-site, ensuring flawless dining experiences for upscale events.

You will oversee menu concept, costing, budgeting, client relations, and team management, driving excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. On-site presence is essential to deliver memorable events and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of catering management experience with leadership roles.
• Experience in luxury/high-end hospitality desired.
• Strong menu planning, costing, and financial management skills.
• Proven ability to manage events, staff, and logistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic catering plans aligned with objectives.
• Oversee planning and delivery of all catering events within budget.
• Lead and mentor the catering team including chefs and service staff.
• Create innovative menu selections reflecting trends and client preferences.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and cost controls for food/beverage.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene regulations are met.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide training.
• Troubleshoot issues during events to ensure flawless guest experiences.
