Job summary

HotelJobs on a luxury wine estate near Franschhoek is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations, service standards and staff performance, delivering exceptional, high-end dining experiences for guests.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure food quality and lead for conferences, group bookings, picnics, private catering and braais on or off the Estate, coordinating with procurement for beverage lists and accurate pricing.

Qualifications

• Grade 12; formal hospitality qualification required.
• Experience in fine dining or 5* hotel/hospitality.
• Proficiency with restaurant POS systems.
• Wine certificate would be beneficial and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Lead staff performance, training, and development.
• Coordinate with Head Chef on food quality and mise-en-place.
• Manage events including conferences, group bookings, picnics, and private catering.
• Supervise stock, reservations, and shift planning to ensure smooth service.
• Collaborate with HR on disciplinary matters and staff performance.
