About the Role Our client, a national leader in the transportation of specialized and high-value cargo, is seeking an experienced and highly reliable Long-Haul Truck Driver to operate from Upington, Northern Cape. This role is crucial for ensuring the secure and timely delivery of goods across long distances, often requiring overnight travel. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience driving heavy-duty trucks, a deep understanding of road safety regulations, and meticulous attention to detail in cargo handling and route management. You will be responsible for the safe operation of your vehicle, maintaining logs, and ensuring the integrity of the cargo throughout the journey. Key Responsibilities

• Operating heavy-duty long-haul trucks for interstate and inter-provincial transportation.
• Safely loading, securing, and unloading specialized cargo according to strict protocols.

Requirements

• A valid Code 14/Professional Driver's Permit (PDP) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of proven long-haul truck driving experience, with specific experience in specialized or high-value cargo transport.
• An impeccable driving record with no major infringements.
• Experience with specialized cargo handling and securing equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of South African road networks and transport regulations.
• Ability to handle extended periods of driving and overnight stays away from home.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and preventative maintenance.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive medical examination and background check.

• Proficiency with ELD systems is required.
