Placements24 is seeking a Fleet Driver to operate long-haul intercity routes from Cape Town, ensuring safe, timely cargo delivery. You will inspect vehicles, adhere to laws and company policies, and maintain accurate logs while coordinating with dispatch and customers.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of intercity driving experience, a clean record, and the ability to work independently in a demanding travel role. Relocation to or residence near Cape Town is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 with PDP license.
• 3–5 years of intercity or long-haul driving experience.
• Excellent driving record with no major offenses.
• Ability to work independently and manage on-road time.
• Willing to reside near Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Operate large commercial vehicles safely on long-haul routes.
• Transport goods between cities ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document issues.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies.
• Secure cargo using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain logbooks and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Manage time to meet delivery schedules while prioritizing safety.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report defects.
• Represent the company professionally.
