Placements24 is seeking a strategic Logistics Planner to join our Sandton team. You will develop distribution plans, analyze stock and demand forecasts, and coordinate transportation partners to ensure timely deliveries.

This hybrid role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to optimize the supply chain. The ideal candidate has a degree in SCM/Logistics or related field and proven distribution experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or similar role focused on distribution.
• Strong understanding of distribution networks, transportation modes, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement distribution and transportation plans.
• Analyze forecasts and inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
• Coordinate with carriers and 3PLs to manage shipments and on-time delivery.
• Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing distribution plans to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products to customers. This role requires strong analytical skills to manage inventory, forecast demand, and coordinate transportation to meet service level agreements. You will work collaboratively with sales, operations, and transportation partners to streamline the supply chain and achieve operational excellence in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive distribution and transportation plans.
• Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability across distribution channels.
