Placements24 is seeking a strategic Logistics Planner to join our client’s team supporting operations in Richards Bay, South Africa. The role focuses on planning and optimizing transportation and logistics to meet demand, analyze data, and implement cost-saving routing solutions.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, model scenarios using planning software, and drive improvements that lower costs while maintaining service levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Logistics Planner or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate into actionable plans.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize logistics and transportation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Analyze transportation data, including costs, transit times, and carrier performance, to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve planning conflicts.
