Job summary

Samancor Limpopo is seeking a Logistics Operator Crushing on a fixed-term basis to ensure safe and effective operation of the crusher plant.

You will load materials, monitor equipment, maintain stock movement, and update log sheets and MES system while adhering to SHEQ requirements. The role includes working in shifts and contributing to a safe, productive crushing process.

Qualifications

• Operate crusher plant safely and effectively.
• Maintain quality through inspection of materials and sizing.
• Record keeping for crusher logs and MES system

• Load primary bin with correct material and ensure proper size and grade.
• Inspect pre-break areas for quality and sizing.
• Maintain smooth and productive plant operation.
• Manage stockpiling and final product quality checks.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

BUSINESS PROCESSES

Crushing:

• Ensure that the primary bin is loaded with the correct material – size and grade
• Inspection of pre-break areas for quality and sizing
• Ensure smooth and productive running of the plant
• Ensure continuation of crushing process
• Ensure safe and correct stockpiling of materials
• Ensure quality control is maintained by inspecting and checking of the correct material size, grade, and removing excess slag from the product
• Control of final products stocks and dispatches
• Good housekeeping at export area
• Ensure correct flow feed rate of the primary crusher
• Ensure that conveyors and screens are not overloaded
• Inspect equipment for defects and reports any deviations
• Assist to clear blockages
• Assist in installation of screen panels when required
• Ensure good housekeeping of the whole plant area and stockpiles
• Ensure that good communication is maintained throughout

Reporting:

• Update the Crusher log sheets and the MES system
