Placements24 is seeking a diligent Logistics Officer to oversee the flow of goods in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, manage inventory, and ensure compliant documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Solid understanding of transportation management, inventory control, and warehousing practices.
• Experience in coordinating shipments and managing documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software or WMS is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics/Supply Chain advantageous.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Plan and schedule transportation for timely, cost-effective deliveries.
• Manage inventory levels and oversee warehousing activities.
• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation.
• Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistical issues.
• Monitor the condition of goods during transit and storage, reporting damages.
• Ensure compliance with local and international transportation regulations and customs requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipment details and inventory levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
• Supervise warehouse staff as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
