Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and macros.

About the Role

Our client, a distinguished name in the logistics and warehousing industry, is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Logistics Operations Analyst to join their team in the picturesque region of Stellenbosch, Western Cape . This role is instrumental in driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across our client's logistics network. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex logistics data to identify areas for improvement, optimize processes, and support strategic decision‑making. This is a pivotal position for an individual with a strong quantitative background and a passion for optimizing supply chain performance within the renowned Stellenbosch area.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics and warehousing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency and cost performance.
• Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with operations teams to implement process improvements and track their effectiveness.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes and investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics analysis, operations research, or a similar role within the logistics or supply chain sector.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets using analytical tools.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to diverse audiences.
• Experience with WMS and TMS systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
