Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading national logistics provider, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Analyst to join their strategic operations team based in Pretoria, Gauteng. This pivotal role involves analyzing complex logistics data, identifying trends, and developing recommendations to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels across various transportation modes and warehousing operations. You will work closely with operational teams and management to drive data-informed decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site position at our offices in Pretoria .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data, including transportation costs, transit times, carrier performance, and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboards to track logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements within the supply chain.
• Model and evaluate different logistics scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with operational teams to implement recommendations and monitor their impact.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on logistics performance and improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the selection and management of third-party logistics providers (3PLs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related analytical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain analysis, or a related role.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (including advanced functions, PivotTables, and VBA), SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation modes, and warehousing principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
