Placements24 in Stellenbosch is seeking a seasoned Logistics Fleet Manager to lead and optimize the transportation fleet. You will oversee maintenance, regulatory compliance, cost control, and driver management, driving safety and efficiency across the Western Cape region.

You will manage a team of drivers and maintenance staff, implement best practices, monitor fleet metrics, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure adherence to provincial and national laws.

Qualifications

7+ years in fleet management or related logistics.
Experience managing large fleets, maintenance, operations, and driver supervision.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and fuel management.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with fleet management software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the transportation fleet, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Logistics Fleet Manager to lead and optimize their transportation fleet operations based in Stellenbosch . This role demands a strong understanding of fleet maintenance, regulatory compliance, cost control, and driver management. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the entire fleet, managing a team of drivers and maintenance personnel, and implementing best practices in fleet operations within the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with excellent analytical skills and a proven track record of success in fleet management.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the company's transportation fleet, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Develop and implement strategies for fleet maintenance, repair, and replacement to minimize downtime and costs.
Manage driver schedules, performance, and ensure adherence to all transportation regulations and safety standards.

Requirements
