Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking a Fleet/Cost Controller to manage fuel, M&R costs, and asset registers in Randfontein area. The role requires strong numeracy and integrity.

The candidate will monitor daily fleet tracking, liaise with suppliers, and ensure timely reporting, with willingness to work long hours and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Code 8 driver's license advantageous.
• Bilingual in English and another SA language.
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must reside in Randfontein or surrounding area.
• Own transport.
• No criminal record.
• Willing to work long hours / overtime and travel extensively.
• Handgun and firearm competency.

Responsibilities

Job description

The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Control of fuel usage
• Control M & R expenditure
• Monitor cost allocations and that it is correct
• Analyze costing
• Monitor daily fleet tracking and address non-conformances
• Manage the fleet in accordance with the budget expenses
• Monitor outside suppliers and purchases
• Ensure monthly returns and reports are submitted on a monthly basis;
• Manage asset register

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• Drivers license Code 8 advantageous
• Bilingual (English and any other South African language);
• Computer literate Excel, Word and Outlook;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must reside in Randfontein or surrounding area;
• Own transport;
• No criminal record;
• Willing to work long hours / overtime and willing to travel extensively;
• Handgun and fire-arm competency
