Job summary

HotelJobs Grahamstown seeks an experienced Lodge Manager for a luxury lodge. You will oversee front office, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance and guest services, ensuring exceptional service and compliance with health and safety standards.

The role requires 4–5 star lodge/hotel experience, 5+ years in hospitality leadership, budget control, supplier management, and strong English communication. A valid driver's license and a clean criminal record are essential; live-in accommodation is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous 4/5 star lodge/hotel experience is essential.
• At least 5 years’ hospitality experience in a supervisory position is essential.
• Good understanding of lodge operations: Front of House, Housekeeping, F&B, Hosting, stock control.
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, cash flow, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience managing finances and basic lodge marketing is desirable.
• Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong Food & Beverage background is an advantage.
• Valid driver's licence is essential.
• Clean criminal record is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the lodge.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain high hospitality standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor and lead a high-performing team.
• Manage reservations, front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance and guest services.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with health, safety and legal requirements.
• Build relationships with travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients and local tourism partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive growth and profitability.
• Oversee procurement, stock control and supplier relationships.
• Ensure the lodge is well maintained and continuously improved.

Package on offer

• R 18-20 000 PM (DOE).
