Job summary

BKB in Cradock seeks an energetic Loadmaster to drive trucks, load/offload livestock, and build pens for Special and Stud auctions. The role also covers planning, coordinating, and marketing livestock auctions with travel across the Central region.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for effective and efficient logistics and administrative processes.

• Ensure equipment and gates are maintained including welding.
• General auction site organisation and related functions.
• Management of wage employees.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles and manage diesel consumption.
• Plan and coordinate auction dates.
• Prepare pamphlets and catalogues for auctions.
• Organise auction equipment and materials records.
• Coordinate information for auctions and advertise auctions.
• Support digital auctions and liaise with livestock clients for media requirements.

Job description

BKB is seeking an energetic Loadmaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the driving of the truck, loading and offloading of livestock, as well as building pens, for Special and Stud auctions and to ensure that all auctions run smoothly. In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for the planning, coordination and overall marketing action of any type of Livestock auctions. The position will be based in Cradock and will require regular travel throughout the Central region.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• At least 3 years' experience in the Livestock environment
• Valid EC license
• Valid PDP (Public Driver's Permit)
• Must be fluent in Afrikaans, English and Xhosa would be advantageous
