Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Livestock Supervisor to oversee daily operations in Rustenburg, North West. You will manage feeding, health monitoring, breeding programs, and a team of livestock handlers to ensure welfare and productivity on the farm.

The ideal candidate has strong animal husbandry knowledge, excellent leadership, and a commitment to high welfare and operational efficiency in the North West region.

Qualifications

• Experience in livestock management and supervisory capacity.
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices for cattle, sheep, poultry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team.
• Excellent record-keeping and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily livestock care, feeding, watering and sanitation.
• Monitor health and welfare, address illnesses or distress promptly.
• Lead breeding programs to optimize reproductive success.
• Train and schedule livestock handlers, ensure safety and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of health, breeding, feed and production metrics.
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and biosecurity protocols.
