Job summary

Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking a responsible Au Pair to care for two school-age children (ages 7 and 10) in a live-out role with set hours. You will support daily routines, homework, and engaging activities while ensuring safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, fluent in English, with childcare experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong references. Background check and First Aid certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Au Pair, Nanny, or in a similar childcare role.
• Good understanding of school-aged children's needs.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for two children aged 7 and 10
• Assist children with homework and school projects
• Transport children to and from school and after-school activities
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate games and recreational activities
• Prepare light snacks and meals for the children
• Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times
• Maintain tidiness in the children's rooms and play areas
• Communicate daily with parents regarding the children's activities and progress
• Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the children
• Uphold family rules and routines
