Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum of 5 years of fleet management or a similar supervisory role within logistics/transport.
• Proven experience managing a fleet of commercial vehicles and drivers.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and dispatch operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with the Polokwane road network and Limpopo.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A clean driving record and a valid PDP are advantageous.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the delivery fleet in the Limpopo region.
• Manage, train, and mentor a team of delivery drivers, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
• Develop and implement efficient route plans to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize costs.
• Establish and manage a comprehensive vehicle maintenance program, ensuring all vehicles are safe, compliant, and operational.
• Monitor driver performance, including delivery times, customer feedback, and safety records.
• Ensure compliance with all local and national transportation laws and safety regulations.
• Manage fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
• Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle location, performance, and maintenance needs.
• Investigate and resolve any fleet-related incidents or customer complaints promptly.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and expansion of the company's delivery network.
