Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to conduct life actuarial valuations, including experience investigations, assumption setting, prudential and IFRS reserving and reporting, scenario testing and forecasting, and analyses of surplus and value-of-new-business calculations.

You will streamline processes, present insights to management, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive solutions and strengthen governance within the Actuarial and Risk departments.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is a minimum educational requirement.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar environment.
• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mathematical Sciences (NQF Level 07).

Responsibilities

• Conduct life actuarial valuations, including experience investigations, assumption setting, prudential and IFRS reserving and reporting, scenario testing and forecasting, analyses of surplus, and value-of-new-business calculations.
• Streamline and enhance various processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Present insights to management and the broader business, actively participating in discussions to facilitate the execution of the business strategy.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within the Company to develop solutions that add significant business value.
• Assist in improving governance and control within the Actuarial and Risk departments.
