Job summary

INDSAFRI in South Africa seeks an experienced Lending Subject Matter Expert with a strong technical background in workflow orchestration, front-end development, and API-led integration. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing automated lending, collections, and payment processes on the Azure platform.

You will leverage Camunda, React, and API integrations to modernize operations, reduce manual effort, and ensure robust security and monitoring.

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering large-scale repayment, collections, lending servicing, or debt management platforms in financial services.
Experience implementing Camunda workflow technologies.
Strong React front-end development expertise.
Deep understanding of API-led integration strategies.
Experience with event-driven architectures.
Proficiency with Rules Engines.
Experience with DebiCheck integration and debit order management.
Knowledge of enterprise security controls.
Experience with monitoring and reporting frameworks.
Knowledge of Collections Operations, Lending Servicing, Debit Orders, DebiCheck, Mandate Management, Payment Collections, and Arrears Management.
Familiarity with Customer Communication Processes.
Knowledge of Financial Services Regulatory Requirements and Banking Operational Risk Controls.
Proven ability to modernize operational processes via automation.

Responsibilities

Act as SME for lending, collections, and servicing processes, incl. debit orders and DebiCheck.
Design, develop, and implement workflow solutions with Camunda.
Develop and maintain responsive front-end interfaces using React.
Architect and implement API-led integrations across systems.
Design event-driven architectures for real-time data processing.
Integrate and configure Rules Engines for automated decisions.
Ensure real-time processing of transactions and data.
Implement and manage DebiCheck integrations and debit orders.
Leverage Azure Platform Services for deployment and scaling.
Maintain robust enterprise security controls.
Develop monitoring and reporting frameworks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
Drive modernization of operations through automation.
Reduce manual effort in lending and collections.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and risk controls.
