You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, manage risk, and collaborate with departments from anywhere in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
• Proven experience in commercial law and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines remotely.

About the Role Our client, a prominent entity within the agricultural sector, is seeking a versatile Legal Counsel with expertise in both Commercial Law and Compliance. This is a fully remote position, offering the convenience and flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across a broad range of commercial agreements and ensuring the company's strict adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires a candidate who is adept at managing complex contracts, advising on business operations, and proactively identifying and mitigating legal and compliance risks. As part of a dedicated remote legal team, you will collaborate closely with various departments, contributing to strategic decision-making and upholding the company's integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a proven ability to navigate diverse legal challenges in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, and service contracts.

Requirements

• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
