Placements24 seeks a skilled Legal Counsel in Polokwane to support mining, environmental, and commercial contracting needs. This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration with remote work to manage regulatory compliance and risk across the resources sector.

You will advise on mining law, environmental permits, governance, and complex contracts while partnering with operations, compliance, and finance teams to drive legally sound business decisions in the Limpopo region.

Formación

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admission as an attorney or advocate in South Africa.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification legal experience in mining/natural resources or environmental law.
• Strong understanding of South African mining law and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (office and remote).

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advisory on mining legislation, environmental law, and health and safety regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including JV agreements and exploration licenses.
• Ensure compliance with South African mining laws and environmental permits.
