Job summary

The Hiring House in Gauteng seeks an admitted Attorney to manage and negotiate contract matters, review major agreements, and lead the contract lifecycle from drafting to execution.

You will translate complex commercial scenarios, advise sales and consulting teams, handle RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and mentor junior staff while ensuring policy and legal compliance across transactions.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) and an LLB or similar legal qualification.
• Admitted Attorney with 4–6 years of experience in the related field.
• Strong attention to detail and numerate accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Identify objectives of direct sales, licensing, and consulting transactions and conduct risk/benefit analysis.
• Draft, review and negotiate major account agreements, licensing, NDAs, terms and amendments for customers.
• Drive contract lifecycle from drafting through completion of negotiations and execution.
• Manage contract change control and related correspondence requiring legal input.
• Prepare responses to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs or customer terms & conditions as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of contract templates, policies, legal risk and company position.
• Prepare contracts for internal review and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Interpret contracts and advise sales/consulting managers on responsibilities.
• Translate complex commercial/legal scenarios into simple language and action plans.
• Mentor and train less experienced contract professionals.
• Support regional offices on sales-related projects.

Key Performance Areas

• Identifies business objectives of direct sales, licensing, consulting transactions, related issues, and facilitates risk/benefit analysis.
• Reviews, drafts and negotiates major account agreements, consulting agreements, special licensing, non-disclosure agreements, terms and amendments for customers
• Drives contract lifecycle from drafting through completion of the negotiation process, and/or contract execution.
• Manages contract change control process and related correspondence requiring legal input.
• Drafts, manages, distributes, responds to, or analyses Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ) or customer terms & conditions as needed.
• Maintains a deep understanding of the company's contract templates, contracts policy, legal risk and liability, and company position on various matters.
• Prepares contracts for internal review and approval and ensures compliance with company policies as well as applicable laws or regulations.
• Interprets contracts and advises sales / consulting managers on contractual responsibilities.
• Translates complex commercial/legal scenarios into simple language and action plans.
• May mentor and train less experienced contract professionals.
• May work under the direction of other department staff or directly with business stakeholders.
• Supports the company's Regional Offices / business stakeholders on sales-related projects.

Qualifications

Experience
