Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or closely related maritime discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching and/or industry experience; seagoing experience relevant to the programme.

Responsibilities

• Lecture and assess modules within the Seagoing Maritime Programme (Deck) per STCW and SAMSA requirements.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and programme accreditation.
• Supervise postgraduate students and produce research outputs aligned with departmental goals.
• Participate in departmental administration and industry engagement activities.
• Support simulation-based training and practical components when required.
