Qualifications

MSc in Engineering or cognate discipline is required; PhD an advantage.
Proven teaching experience at a tertiary level.
Evidence of an emerging research record with peer‑reviewed publications.
Experience in interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary research, combining engineering, entrepreneurship and/or policy.
Research/teaching/experimental expertise in Just Energy Transition engineering aspects.

Responsibilities

Implementation and management of the Peri-Urban Living Lab.
Collaborate with ENERGISE partners, industry, society, and external stakeholders on Just Energy Transition initiatives.
Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses related to the Just Energy Transition, including Renewable Energy, Power and Energy and core Electrical and Information Engineering subjects.
Contribute to research output and postgraduate supervision of the School.
Develop and strengthen postgraduate and research programmes in Just Energy Transition and Wits ENERGISE Centre.
