Qualifications

• PhD in Linguistics is required.
• Experience teaching syntax, morphology, and phonology/phonetics at tertiary level.
• Proven ability to supervise postgraduate students.
• Strong independent and collaborative work ethic.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate modules within the discipline
• Supervise postgraduate students at honours, master's, and PhD levels
• Conduct original research aligned with one or more of the department's focus areas in linguistics
• Actively participate in the department's research, teaching, and social impact initiatives
• Undertake administrative responsibilities associated with teaching, research, and supervision activities
