• Experience teaching Inclusive Education at undergraduate level preferred.
• Two years’ lecturing at tertiary level or five years’ teaching at school level.
• Strong competence in pedagogy of Inclusive Education and assessment.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Teach Inclusive Education and Theory of Education in the Intermediate Phase and Foundation Phase.
• Contribute to curriculum development and learning materials.
• Supervise students on teaching practice.
• Engage in research and supervision activities.
• Assist with academic administration and quality assurance.

Job Purpose

Applications are specifically invited for teaching in the subject Inclusive Education (and Theory of Education) in the Intermediate Phase (and Foundation Phase). Candidates with specific skills in the teaching of Inclusive Education as part of Intermediate Phase Education on the Mowbray Campus are invited.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A Master’s degree relevant to the teaching of Inclusive Education.
• A teaching qualification relevant to the teaching of Inclusive Education and Theory of Education.
• Inclusive Education as a subject at undergraduate level.
• Two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience at school level.
• Competence in the pedagogy of Inclusive Education and its assessment.
• Fluency in English.
