Job summary

peopleworth is seeking a Learning Systems Engineer to safeguard the technical integrity of an AI engineering learning programme. The role focuses on verifying, maintaining and supporting technical systems used for learning delivery.

You will test integrations, set up learner environments, and provide front-line technical support during live sessions while coaching non-technical colleagues to adopt AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in software testing, technical quality assurance, or a closely related engineering role.
• Strong ability to read, run, test and debug code written by other developers.
• Proficiency with Python and confidence troubleshooting dependency, configuration and runtime issues.
• Practical understanding of AI application patterns, including LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation and agent-based workflows.
• Proficiency with Git-based development workflows, repository management and continuous integration and deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Verify code, activities and model solutions run end-to-end in the approved environment.
• Test integrations between learning storyboards, external code, repositories and Canvas LMS.
• Identify technical gaps and failure points where learning content connects.
• Set up and maintain learner repositories, environments and API connections.
• Ensure learner environments remain stable and version-controlled during development and live delivery.
• Define clear technical acceptance criteria for external contributors and review outputs.
• Provide front-line technical support to learners during live delivery.
• Respond rapidly to incidents to minimize disruption during sessions.
• Coach Learning Experience Designers to use Git and AI-assisted workflows.
• Build lightweight internal automations to reduce repetitive testing.
